Despite being the best team in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain could be losing a lot of key players this summer, but not from their first-team.
The amount of quality in the squad means it’s very difficult for young players to breakthrough, and this has caused a few to question whether staying in Paris is the best idea for their career.
A lot of these players will have seen the success Kingsley Coman has had since leaving the French capital, now playing regularly for Bayern Munich (on loan from Juventus) under Pep Guardiola.
Still on a youth contract at the Ligue 1 champions, Fodé Ballo Touré has attracted a lot of interest from clubs in the Premier League after shining with his side the UEFA Youth League this season.
The Paris Saint-Germain youth team reached the final of the competition, where they eventually lost to Chelsea 2-1, and Touré was an integral part of François Rodrigues’ side, playing every minute at left-back.
According to FootMercato’s own sources, Southampton, Manchester City, Stoke, West Ham and Liverpool are interested in the young defender’s potential, but may have to fend off interest from Porto.
The 19-year-old may not need a lot of convincing, considering the likelihood of 23-year-old Layvin Kurzawa getting the left-back position long-term at the club.
However, he might also follow in the footsteps Christopher Nkunku and Jean-Kevin Augustin by signing a new deal with the club he has been with since the age of 10.
