West Ham and West Brom are two of the teams interested in signing experienced Cameroonian defender Henri Bedimo this summer, according to Maxifoot.

The 31-year-old’s contract with Lyon is expiring next month and he is widely expected to leave the Ligue 1 side for a new challenge.

Bedimo started 14 league games in 2015-16 and has been a consistent performer over the last three years for Lyon.

The left-back boasts 39 international caps for Cameroon and would bring a wealth of experience to either the Hammers or the Baggies.

The report suggests that a host of teams across the continent are eyeing Bedimo up as an affordable and shrewd option this summer, with a tussle for the defender’s signature expected in forthcoming weeks.

Both West Ham and West Brom have dependable options at left-back currently but the signing of the African enforcer would add strength in depth to their respective squads ahead of the new campaign, especially in West Ham’s case if they where to reach the Group stages of the Europa League.
