One to watch – Djibril Sidibe

DJIBRIL SIDIBE

Age: 23 years

Nationality: French

Current Team: Lille

This week we have a player who I have followed for a few seasons and felt he would get better and better.

Djbril Sidibe has been a consistent performer in Ligue 1 for the last few seasons.

On the fringes of the French national team, I think with more exposure he will be a first teamer.

Like Cresswell he is committed defensively, but he has more pace and power going forward.

He could even cover left back if Cresswell got injured as he never looks out of place there.

Seeing as he has been linked with a few Premiership clubs recently, I feel I’d better get his report out before he shows everyone what he can do possibly in the Premier League.

I also would love him to be our Right Back at West Ham 🙂

He would suit our Attacking style ,he loves to get forward and play.

That being said, he is also defensively switched on.

He is a Modern day full back, good efficient tackler, high workrate, adventurous going forward with good crossing.

He has good feet, confident.

Accomplished with his Left foot.

Is good in the build up play and even chips in with some goals.

Pretty composed when he finds himself with a chance at goal to be fair.

Arsenal have been recently linked with him, but with Bellerin being the 1st choice, maybe West Ham could tempt him with more game time??

I know we have been after Gregory Van der Wiel, but Sidibe would be a top capture for us in my humble opinion.

He would be a smart signing who isn’t as well known yet outside France .

STRENGTHS : Tackling – Pace – Work rate – Crossing – Strength

WEAKNESSES : None

Looks very good would definitely like to see him as a our new right back should the Van Der Wiel deal not come into fruition.
