As we all know, this week hasn’t been the best for West Ham and I think it is fair to say that we all need a bit of cheering up. A convincing away win is just what we need and I would like to that the players will be up for it and can bring us back the 3 points that we all desperately want. West Brom have failed to win at home this season, so let’s hope that this form continues!

General Information:

Stadium: The Hawthorns

Capacity: 26,850

Address: Halfords Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 4LF

Random Fact: The Hawthorns is the highest football stadium above sea level.

Seating Away supporters are located on one side of the Smethwick End and share the stand with home fans. The views of the pitch are pretty good, but the leg room is restricted, so if you are on the tall side you may be a little uncomfortable.

Travel

 Directions/Parking

From The London Stadium it takes roughly two and a half hours by car.

Follow London Orbital Motorway/M25, M1 and M6 to Birmingham Rd/A41 in West Bromwich. The Hawthorns is located 500m from Junction 1 of the M5. On leaving the M5 take the A41 towards Birmingham, the ground is on your right. Watch out for the speed cameras!!

There is plenty of street parking available near The Hawthorns, but traffic wardens do operate around the ground so please remember check for any restrictions before leaving your car.  Kenrick Way and Telford Way are recommended, both are about a twenty minute walk to the ground and are convenient for a quick getaway after the match.

Alternatively, there are a few private matchday car parks at some local industrial units near the ground (for approximately £5) or you could try Hawthorns Station (B66 2HB), which costs £5 and is within a five to ten minute walk to the ground. There are also a number of pay and display car parks in the town-centre. This is approximately a twenty minute walk to the ground, but is very straightforward.

If you aren’t one of the 2800 fans making the trip to The Hawthorns, make sure you keep an eye on @WestHamWaycouk on Twitter for live updates throughout the game and of course our Snapchat: thewesthamway.

I’m hoping Twitter on Saturday will bring a welcome change, where we are celebrating a convincing win, rather than discussing the stadium issues and our poor defending.
