OK, so we’re currently in a real battle in the bottom half after that thumping defeat last weekend at the hands of West Brom. Albeit a last second winner against a League Two side, I’m hoping the victory in midweek can give us a boost, however small, going into this crucial game on Sunday at home to Southampton.
We’re a whopping 19/10 to win this one with Betway, which is a clear indication of how things have gone for us so far this season. On the plus side, we have only failed to score in one of our 14 home Premier League meetings with Southampton, we just need to keep it tight at the back! Winston Reid was a huge loss for us last weekend so fingers crossed he returns. That coupled with that fact we’ve no doubt been defensively focused in training this week should pave the way for a much-improved defensive performance. If you fancy us to keep our second clean sheet in the space of a few days then you can get it at a generous 5/2 with our sponsors.
What are the Michail Antonio prices I hear you ask?! Well, he’s 13/2 to notch the opener, 9/4 anytime and 14/1 to score two or more. Take your pick.
We’ve scored in each of our last 13 home league games, netting at least twice on nine occasions. If you’re optimistic like me and hopeful we can shut Soton out, a 1-0 win is 15/2 whereas 2-0 is a tempting 13/1. Claude Puel’s men are struggling for goals, scoring just four times in the league, so under 2.5 goals could well be the way to go in this one. It’s available with Betway at 17/20.
Good luck with your bets this weekend. COYI.
