Bilic relishes return to Everton and ‘great’ Goodison Park.
The Hammers head to Everton on Sunday, where boss Bilic played for two seasons after leaving Upton Park in 1997. The contrast between the old-school charm of Goodison Park and the vast open spaces at West Ham’s new London Stadium could not be greater; “It’s going to be packed, it’s a great stadium and also because we have a great memory from last year. Okay, I played there and everything but it’s mostly because of the stadium and the crowd is very good there.” itv.com
Are you looking forward to the match against Everton at Goodison? Is our form good enough to get us any points? Would you settle for a draw or do you want the all 3 points?
Ogbonna shares his views on life both inside and outside the camp and gives his honest opinions on all the matters that count. In the latest blog, the 28-year-old reflects on a memorable week for the Club and reveals how he is going to try and stop Romelu Lukaku getting on the scoresheet. whufc.com
Romelu Lukaku…Does that name send shivers down your spine? Is he going to score against us yet again? Is Goodison park our ‘bogey ground’?
West Ham’s “five point plan” to tackle fan violence in the London Stadium.
Even before Chelsea’s visit, the club had banned 23 fans from the ground due to ongoing disorder in the stands. After sifting through CCTV footage from Wednesday night, West Ham have pledged to ban up to 200 fans from the stadium and have now published further details of their plan to tackle the problem that could damage both the image of the club and the stadium itself.
West Ham’s five point-plan:
“Create more distance between opposing fans to prevent missile throwing by widening segregation.”
“Remove risk groups from the stadium permanently with our ‘zero tolerance’ banning policy”.
“Strengthen and widen the lines of segregation on the lower concourse walkway by creating higher barriers and a 10-metre wide sterile area.”
“Ensure home and away fans egress is physically segregated upon exiting the stadium to prevent clashes on the podium. This consists of a physical barrier either side of the away supporter turnstiles and prevents supporter integration after the game.”
|“Inside the stadium we will also be employing the enhances tactic of issuing a group of stewards with handheld video cameras. Stewards currently have cameras attached to their armour but we believe this investment will act as a clear and visible deterrent.” cityam.com
What do you think about the plan; will it help? Do you have any ideas on what else can be done?
U18s make it three wins in a row.

West Ham offer £22.5m and Simone Zaza to Napoli: Italian striker eyed in return.
According to Italian TV station Rai Sport, West Ham are willing to offer £22.5m (€25m) for Gabbiadini in January. They hope Napoli will be convinced to sell the 24-year-old in return for a heavy up-front fee and replacement forward Zaza. express.co.uk
Do we need a new forward in January? Should we somehow try and cut Zaza’s time short with us?; although as he belongs to Juventus it is surely up to them what happens. Do you rate Gabbiadini? Is he what we need?
West Ham United reportedly interested in Mauro Icardi.
The Hammers have reportedly found the solution to their woes, and that solution is none other than Mauro Icardi. As reported by Football Whispers on Sky Sports UK, West Ham are currently conjuring up an offer to Inter for their man that makes all the headlines. It’s completely plausible that the Argentinean striker could leave Inter soon due to his rift with the clubs Ultras. Therefore, a move away from the San Siro based club is not entirely out of the cards. italianfootballdaily.com
Another striker linked with us; do you think there is any truth in this rumour? Are we really looking at new strikers or is this just January transfer talk starting very early this year? ex?; any truth here??
