I hope everyone’s returned from Dubai refreshed and ready to snatch all three points at Vicarage Road this weekend! After dropping 2 points in the dying embers of the game against West Brom, a win on Saturday would be the perfect tonic.
After a run of just one win in 22 league games against us, Watford have won two of the last three – including a 4-2 win at the London Stadium back in September. We’re 15/8 to win this one, with the draw at 11/5. One stat worth keeping in mind is that we’ve never lost back-to-back league games against Watford in our history. 17/20 on us in the Draw No Bet market now looks huge.
Will Andy Carroll be fit enough to play? I doubt it personally, but we could do with his prowess in the air this weekend. If you think he’ll play some part, you can enjoy 9/4 with Betway on him to score at any point in the game. He has scored five times in his last six league starts for us! My heart wants him to start but my head says he’ll miss out. Step forward Sofiane Feghouli. I’m not sure who will be up top for this weekend’s trip but I’ve been impressed with the Algerian on the wing over the last few weeks. If you fancy him to bag another, he’s 10/1 with our sponsors to score the opener, 7/2 anytime. Manuel Lanzini has scored two goals and provided two assists in his last five Premier League games for us, this after a run of seven games without a goal or an assist. Our jewel is 10/1 to score first, 7/25 anytime. I can’t move on without mentioning another Argentinian. This game almost has a Lanzini v Zarate feel to it. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Mauro score against us, as long as it’s in defeat. He’s 7/1 to notch the opener, 3/1 anytime.
A staggering 15 of our last 18 wins against Watford in all competitions have been by the odd goal! You can enjoy 15/2 with Betway on us to win 1-0, we’re 9/1 to win 2-1 and 22/1 to win 3-2. If you think it could turn into a goal fest, we’re an enormous 100/1 to win 4-3! Neither side has managed to keep the other out in three of the last four meetings in all competitions. Both Teams to Score is available at 4/6.
Good luck with whatever you’re betting on this weekend. Me? I think I’ll have a few pennies on each of those three scorelines mentioned above. COYI
