Good afternoon Hammers. Here is today’s lunchtime round up.

Slaven Bilic is fighting for his future after the West Ham owners sounded the alarm bells. (Evening Standard)

I don’t think Slaven is fighting for his future as such, but I do think it is being questioned. We have lost three in a row and things need to change, starting this Saturday. From our next three fixtures, I think we should be aiming for 7 points, but if we fail to pick up at least four, then I would say Slaven is fighting for his future.

Aaron Cresswell says the West Ham players are fully behind Slaven Bilic. (Sky Sports)

I would hope that they are behind him too. They all need to work together in order for us to finish the season as strongly as possible.

Chris Gunter fears that Jaap Stam is doing too good a job to remain as Reading manager, after he was linked with the West Ham job. (Daily Mirror)

He might be doing an amazing job at Reading, but that is in the Championship. We are in the Premier League, and it is different in so many ways. It is a much harder league, and I think I would rather see Stam have a crack in the Premier League with someone else rather than us.

Olivier Giroud has insisted that he should have won the January Goal of the Month award, instead of Andy Carroll. (Sports Witness)

In my opinion, Giroud’s goal was a fluke. There is no way that he would ever be able to do that again, I am pretty certain of that. Andy Carroll’s goal was brilliant. I know there have been many scissor kicks scored in the Premier league before, but I think Carroll could do it again if given the chance.

Manuel Lanzini has praised the influence that Mark Noble has on the team. (ClubCall)

Mark has been poor this season, there is no doubt about that. However, he is still our captain at the end of the day. We need him to stand up, pull the players together and fight from now to the end of the season. He has a massive influence on this team in my opinion.

Hoffenheim star Steven Zubar is a target for West Ham and Juventus this summer. (HITC)

I have never heard of this guy, but he must be reasonably good if Juventus want him. I think I would have to see more of him before making any judgements on him.
