Hello Hammers. Here is today’s lunchtime round up.

Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid have been named in the Premier League Team of the Week, after their performances in the 1-0 win over Tottenham. (Football Insider)

Both of these guys are worthy of their places in the TOTW. The whole team were absolutely brilliant and anyone of them could have got man of the match, but Winston and Manu stood out the most. I would also like to say that Jonathan Calleri was also absolutely brilliant. If he can keep up that standard of performance, then I would consider keeping him here.

Cheikhou Kouyate is to undergo surgery on a long standing wrist injury, now that West Ham’s survival is assured. (Evening Standard)

That explains the whole tape on the wrist thing then. I didn’t realise that it was an injury, because he has always worn it since joining the club. Cheikhou has been brilliant this season and I hope he comes back stronger next season.

West Ham are launching a double bid on Sunderland for duo Jermain Defoe and Jordan Pickford. (Express)

I would love it if we managed to sign Pickford. He is a young goalkeeper who has a massive future ahead of him, without a doubt. As for Defoe, I am going off the idea of signing him now. As I said earlier in the article, I would rather keep Calleri here now than sign Defoe.

Slaven Bilic has revealed that Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic promised him dinner if West Ham beat Tottenham. (Evening Standard)

It seems as though West Ham and Chelsea have a good relationship off the pitch, which is kind of nice to see. I hope Nemanja and Slaven enjoy their meal and have a good laugh about Spurs.

Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp says he believes the West Ham players’ performance against Tottenham has sent a message to the board. (HITC)

Slaven Bilic says Manuel Lanzini is the player at the club who is loved by absolutely everyone. (HITC)

That is the biggest statement that the players could have made. I believe that Slaven has now saved his job for next season. He is fully deserving of being given another chance, and I will back him 100% just like every other Hammers fan has done all season.

Manu is now the shining star of the team. He is the main man and we have to build the team around him next season. As Mark Noble said on Friday after the game: I love Manu. Do you love Manu? I love Manu.
