West Ham v Tottenham – Match Preview

The Brighton game seems like a long time ago now. It was a poor 1st half display and some even poorer finishing that cost the Hammers a point at least. I´m sure many of the players have been itching to get back on the field to make things right. What better than a London derby against Tottenham.
This is where I would usually welcome the opposition. But I don´t like them, so I won´t. They are, unfortunately doing well in the league and are in 5th place. Just two points behind the leaders. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job keeping them there this year, considering the lack of investment during the summer.
While they have won their last three games in the Premier League. They would be very upset with the fact that they have lost their two Champions league games this year. I cant help but think this will play on their managers and players minds when they face us.
West Ham, while not getting the result we needed last time out have been playing some good football of late, and I see no reason we shouldn´t continue that tomorrow afternoon.
West Ham´s league position might not be great at the moment but there is a long way to go this season with plenty of points to play for. We have seven points at the moment four more than 18th place Huddersfield, and just five points from 10th placed Leicester City.
Tottenham will be happy with returning players Eriksen and Dembele who return from injury. But Alli, Rose and Vertonghen miss the match.
The good news for all West Ham fans is that Arnautovic is fit and ready to go, while he has been struggling with a knee injury he seems good to go for now. Hernandez also returns from illness which gives us some more options from the bench. Reid, Carroll and Lanzini are all still out.
Predicted Line Ups :
West Ham United : Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell, Noble, Rice, Snodgrass, Yarmalenko, Anderson and Arnautovic.
Tottenham Hotspur : Lloris, Davies, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Trippier, Dembele, Dier, Son, Lamela, Lucas and Kane.
I´m really looking forward to the game today, and can´t help but feel that we will just want this game that little bit more than they do. I think we will go on to win the game 2-1 with both goals coming from Arnie who also bagged a goal for Austria at the weekend. I think there will be a little shake up with the squad as well. Just to keep players on their toes.
