Less said about last weekend the better, it was a poor performance from players who really should have performed better on the day. We were out thought and out fought by an AFC Wimbledon team who were well up for the game and put in a shift that should be the minimum for a professional team.
So we turn our attentions to the only thing left for West Ham this year and that is Premiership position. Wolves are our direct rival is this race for 7th which may or may not be enough for Euro League qualification. The way the F.A cup draw has panned out I think that winning the cup might have been an easier way to qualify.
Wolves have been the surprise package in the league this year taking over where Burnley left off last year. They are just a point and two places ahead of us at the moment but there is along way to go till the end of the season.
Over the last 6 games ours and Wolves form is exactly the same with 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats. But momentum is certainly with Wolverhampton with them having won last time out and not losing in the cup either.
Team news for Wolves is that Willy Boly who is serving the last of his three game suspension, But the players missing from there F.A cup game are at the weekend are expected to return, with no other injuries reported.
Pellegrini has a big decision to make, on whether to bring back striker Arnautovic after having missed the last 2 games due to not being in the right frame of mind. I hope he starts, and plays well as then we can draw a line through the whole mess and concentrate on the games from now till the end of the season. Wilshire, Yarmolenko, Sanchez, Lanzini and Reid are all still missing.
Predicted Line ups :
Wolverhampton Wanderers : Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Saiss, Vinagre, Neves, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Jonny, Jota and Jimenez.
West Ham United : Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Noble, Rice, Snodgrass, Antonio, Anderson and Arnautovic.
This is a big game For us we have suffered to poor defeats in a row and its vital that not only we beat the teams around us but we get back to winning ways as soon as possible. The return of Arnie to the team will definitely improve us as a team I just hope he plays at his best and not start sulking as I felt he did at the beginning of this saga against Arsenal. I think he will get a goal tonight but it will not be winner I think the game will be a score draw either 1-1 or 2-2
