West Ham v Newcastle Utd – Match Preview

Apologies for the lack of Preview last week, Couldn´t be helped but hopefully my return will coincide with a return to form from a the Mighty Hammers.
Our guests tomorrow afternoon are my friend Dink´s best mate Steve Bruce and his Newcastle United team. They are not having the best of time in the Premiership 17th in the league and only a point from the relegation zone. They have won just 2 games all season and Hopefully they will not win anymore tomorrow.
West Ham´s promising start to the season has turned a bit flat in the last few games 2 defeats and 2 draws in the last 4 games have us in the usual mid-table position of the table and I will be very surprised if we finish anywhere else this year.
Injury wise our old friend Andy Carroll surprisingly is struggling with an injury, but his replacement on our injury table Wilshire has suffered another setback. Ritchie, Schar and Lejeune are all missing for Newcastle as well as Longstaff who is suspended.
Antonio and Fabianski join Wilshire on the sidelines but some good news is the return of Winston Reid who started during the week for the under 23’s.
West Ham United : Roberto, Zabaleta, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell, Noble, Rice, Snodgrass, Yarmolenko, Haller and Anderson.
Newcastle United : Dubravka, Clark, Lascelles, Fernandez, Yedlin, Willems, Hayden, Longstaff, Almiron, Saint-Maximin and Joelinton.
Playing the same team as last week could be a bit of a gamble from Pellegrini and hopefully players that are missing out get the message and force themselves back into the team soon.
I´m always hopeful that West Ham are going to put in a performance and win the game, But I´m not as hopeful as I usually am. I´m going to go for a score draw 1-1 with our goal coming from a corner and one of either Balbuena or Diop getting the goal.
