West Ham United
Well after another disappointing away performance we find ourselves very much at a crossroads with many people now split between letting Pellagrini go now and others who want him to stay. Wolves, midweek were much better than us in a game I feel we lacked a real spark in the attacking third. Which has been a problem all season really.
Arsenal on the other hand have still yet to appoint a manager after getting rid of Emery last week and Freddie Ljungberg continues as caretaker manager. They are on a poor run of form, without a win in 6 games but plenty of draws in that time. They are 11th in the table with 19 points, far away from the team that constantly finished in the top 4 not so long ago.
After a great win at Chelsea we failed to turn up at Wolves and now have a London derby under the lights to look forward to. Only trouble is I’m not sure many people are looking forward to it any more in a season which promised so much after the first few games of the season. Just the 1 win separating 4 defeats we are perilously close to the relegation zone. Only a point separates us from Southampton in 18th place. But a win would not only ease our fears but take us level on points with Arsenal.
Fabianski is still out unfortunately as is Lanzini but Wilshire could be back on the bench. Reid will continue his long road back with the youth team and Antonio will face a late test on his groin but signs are good that he will play.
Predicted Teams :
West Ham United : Martin, Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Rice, Snodgrass, Fornals, Anderson and Antonio.
Arsenal : Leno, Tierney, Luiz, Papastathopoulos, Bellerin, Xhaka, Torreira, Pepe, Ozil, Guendouzi and Aubameyang.
Arsenal are a good side going forward but with David Luiz at the back we really should cause them problems at the back. I’m backing Anderson to come out with a performance we all know is is capable of but have not seen enough of this year. This is why most people get frustrated with him. We all know what he can do but we have not seen it enough. I’m backing him to get the first goal in a 2-0 win with the other goal coming from one of our substitutes in the final minutes.
I know its been hard work this year, but we need a real effort from everyone tonight. Manuel, the players and the fans need to give everything and spur us on to what hopefully will be a fantastic 3 points.
