A fabulous performance against Wolves, reflected in the marks. With every player contributing to a resounding win against a decent Wolves outfit who were made to look very average, let’s hope this wasn’t a flash in the pan and we can continue to play in this way.

Fabianski – 6.5 not called on to pull out any worldie saves but quick off his line a couple of times when Wolves knocked balls over the top

Fredericks – 6 injured early in the second half but played solidly enough in a wing back role first half

Cresswell – 8.5 played left of a centre back three and was solid as a rock with decent distribution including a great ball forward to Antonio ahead of our second goal, also delivered the corner for our third

Balbuena – 7.5 almost caught for pace on a couple of occasions but otherwise a very assured performance and one which must put doubt on Diop walking straight back in to the team

Ogbonna – 8 unlucky with an early header and consistent as ever at the back thwarting every Wolves attack that came his way

Arthur – 9 wonderful display, great trickery going forward, marked Traore out of the game second half and delivered a sublime cross for our fourth as well as a similar cross to Bowen that he should have done better with, clearly enjoys the left wing back role and gives the team a unique dynamism no other player offers

Soucek – 9 what a signing this boy is turning out to be, unlucky with both a shot and header first half but got his due rewards with a smart header second half (despite the Premier League saying it was an OG, at odds of 20-1 for him to get a headed goal there will be a few arguments at the bookies !) and all round work rate was impressive

Rice – 8.5 the odd sloppy pass at times but generally back at the top of his game and numerous times held up the Wolves forwards and tidied up in the box at crucial moments

Fornals – 8.5 in a four nil win we can forgive him the glaring miss just before half time as he covered every blade of grass and provided the assists for both Bowen goals, wonderful awareness to set up the opener and decent shot onto the post to create the second

Bowen – 8.5 energetic display, wonderful technique to finish his first and in the right place at the right time to calmly slot home his second, always looked lively particularly first half

Antonio – 9 other than grabbing a goal not much more he could have done, bullied the Wolves back four, held the ball up, had a couple of decent efforts on goal, chased everything down, great work to assist in the build up to our second, simply wonderful

Johnson (49 mins, for Fredericks) – 6 a little slow to catch the pace of the game first five minutes but settled into the role well for the remainder of the match

Haller (88 mins, for Antonio) – 7 considering he only had five minutes to make an impression this wasn’t too shabby, held the ball up neatly a couple of times and took his headed goal ever so well, a shame he couldn’t have looked a bit happier about it – let’s give him the benefit of the doubt he was looking mean and moody rather than hacked off !

Noble (88 mins, for Bowen) – 6 ticked over as he always does and helped see the game out
