That is a shame. SO many players going there for the cash.

I’d be happy with Bacca and Fletcher. Perhaps Gomez too with Sakho and Valencia leaving.

I like benteke but wages are too much, if sakho is off we need 2 other strikers as well as big Andy maybe bacca/Gomez ?

Hernandez anyone? Could really compliment Carroll if they play together.

I would very much doubt a move for him now considering we’ve signed Feghouli and Tore and also have Samuelsen coming through. Reckon the main focus now will be on strikers and possibly one or two fullbacks.

Heard Dortmunds Subotic may be going to boro, surely a move we could hijack to good to let slip by whether we need him or not. I personally think we do.

I don’t think we need another centre back. We have Collins, Reid and Ogbonna playing for the two spots with Burke and Oxford ready and waiting. I don’t know anything about the guy though, except that Arsenal want him too.

As much as Collins is bit of a fans favourite he has to many clangers in him (that said thought last season was his best) but I’d move him on for someone new and then you still have space to give Oxford and Burke there shot.

There is only one ginger Pele! Moving him on would be criminal in my opinion. He’s cut out the clangers and has added Cristiano Ronaldo to the long list of players he has pocketed!

As much as i like Adrian, i think the “mystery player” should be a keeper, IMO we need to upgrade our keeper over the next 12 – 18 months to move up a level, i have said of a while, Joe Hart will be leaving City soon, he would be a great signing, a true statement too!

I would personally like to see Randolph start ahead of Adrian great character but we could do with better quality your right. Hart no no no! And no.

Yes Hart did have a shocker at the Euros but you can’t deny his quality. Perhaps a new environment could bring the confidence back. Personally I’m happy with both Randy and Adrian and I agree, Randy deserves more games.
However, I did hear a rumour that Adrian has been under a little bit of press from his family to return to Spain. Source: A random person in the black lion.

Main problem I have with Hart is that this is not the first time that we have been here. There was a massive question over him only a few years back as he made a series of errors for his club and his country position questioned as a result. At that time he had built up enough in reserve to survive it, though it took all season to do it and subsequently the criticism quietened as consistency returned. Whether it will this time is very much down to how he performs over the next few months and probably longer. Confidence in a keeper is critical and many a keeper (my memory goes back to Day and Ferguson [just]), has fallen from the pedestal into obscurity through a sudden loss of it. Working with a new defensive formation is also no easy factor to quantify in this regard. So Hart could go either way so I would have to be a little wary at the moment.

The ITK people get thirsty too! #justsaying

In all seriousness though, if that were true I imagine it would have happened by now so I think we’re safe.

Who ever we sign needs to be a team player and add to what seems to be a good team spirit. We don’t need players who see themselves as more important than anyone else on the field. Granted We need a slightly bigger squad but prices for players this window seems to have gone bonkers. I would like to see more of the younger players being given a chance and any signings that bolster our academy set-up is good in my book. We did canny business with Cresswell and Antonio who have been great value for money and I hope we can do that again. Investing in talent scouts is the way to find hidden talent.

I don’t think we have a solid enough defence. We seem to have a real problem defensively through the middle. Mainly due to our entire mid being strongly attacking which left us short in the dying stages of the game sometimes. Striker wise I think Carrol would be a 20 goal striker unfortunately I don’t think he has a full injury free season in him. I’m sure Bacca would be a great striker for us but not at the expense of the overall team (Morale due to wage differences/ crippling the wage structure). There are plenty of strikers available that will not have a negative affect on the team. With out quality in the mid a 20 goal striker could be anyone who can finish personally I think we could have stolen Rashford from united with the promise of first team football and a solid wage however I would say his new contract would make him very pricey. Gignac and Immobile are two I often feel would fit in perfectly too but I’m not aware of there situation

I want Giroud, I think he’d be a class signing and he’s not exactly a fan favourite at Arsenal. Plus him and Dimi have linked up superbly during the Euros.

Am I the only one who would have taken a punt on Diego Costa maybe? His attitude frustrates me but you can’t take away his talent. Maybe chuck a cheeky £25m bid at Chelsea?

I wouldn’t have minded Benteke but not for £30m that is quoted.

We should also be all over Zabaleta. Quality experienced Right Back who could be a mentor to Sam Byram

I have a sneaky feeling that we might end up with Joe Hart at some point in the next year or so, Pep will bring in his own “sweeper keeper” leaving Hart on the bench, no doubt he is on big wages and would command £15 – £18 Million fee, but would be a huge statement of intent and a massive improvement on Adrian.

I would shift: Valencia, Sakho, Henry, Poyet,

I personally think we need a: LB, AM, STx3.

LB: I’d sign Charlie Taylor over Ricco Henry. Taylor is more physically ready. If we signed Henry and Cressell God forbid was ruled out for the rest of the season we you just a scrawny 18 left back that hasn’t played any higher than League 1!? We have enough you cover in Hendrie and Page. Taylor is older, plus is versatile as he can play on the wing too. Byram can have a word with him.

AM: Juan Mata please. Great player, knows the league inside out and again versatile. Can play out wide ir centrally. Good European experience too.

ST: Get Calleri as it’s only a loan deal. Nothing to lose so worth the gamble as 4th choice. Get Ben Yedder as the cheap permanent signing. His record speaks for himself. And for the expensive signing. If we don’t get Bacca, which I sadly don’t think we will, Or Benteke, who would’ve been my next choice, but as Ex has pointed out won’t happen, I would go for Mandzukic. With potentially Calleri and Ben Yedder coming in, we lack a more physical striker. Especially when Carroll will pick up his usual injuries. Mandzukic is perfect. Yes he is 30. But we can afford to have experience when the rest of our strikers are young. He doesn’t pick up too many injures, his hard working, has played under Bilic before, has European experience and has an impressive goal record. Scored in 3 difficult European countries too, in Bundesliga, Seria A, and La Liga.

So overall my wish list is:
Charlie Taylor, Juan Mata, Mario Mandzukic, Wissam Ben Yedder and Jonathan Calleri.

Enner Valencia scores far more goals per game for Ecuador than West Ham. Reasons why?
Payet was an amazingly successful signing last year. But I think we’d struggle fending off the big fish in the pursuit of an established 20+ goal per season striker. Ben Yedder would appear to be an upgrade, I’ll take him.
We actually has a pretty good goal haul last season. I was a little more concerned about how many goals we leaked at the end of the season, Do we need a defensive right back? A goalie (is Mandanda still on a freebee?) or just better organisation?
Midfield is looking great by the way. Two great wingers signed. Payet and Lanzini. Noble and Kouyate winning the ball.

every team is picking up some unreal players now with all the money. look at boro. just means we have to be smarter with our money and get better value for money. im not to bothered really with the lack of strikers atm. need to make sure we dont pay way to much for average players. as mourinho would say we need specialists now. have a really good back bone to the squad.

We have the big target man in Andy and we need a rapid striker now who can finish chances regularly. But I think we could already have that if Antonio went up top. He has proven he can finish and that’s still from defensive positions

I had that in mind too. Considering how many games Antonio played and the positions he played in, he had a great goal return. But will be given a shot at striker?

Sakho and Valencia are on their way.

I would like any two of Calleri, Berardi and Ben Yedder.

If, if (IF) Carroll can stay fit (and I’ve read he has a niggle already!) that would make a decent strike force. I am impressed with how our attacking midfield is being augmented.

I’m not sure why we would try to bring James Rodriguez in unless it’s simply to show we have financial clout. We’ve already. Got Payet, Lanzini, Feghouli, Tore and Antonio which gives us plenty of shove.

Looking through some stats, I like the look of Sébastien Haller from FC Utrecht. 22 years old and 43 goals in 116 apps.

Overall, I’d love to see us sign a natural striker, someone who we would know could convert the majority of their one on one opportunities, whilst adding some extra flair. A player who could create a chance from nothing. But that is easier said than done!
